Finished My 12th Half Marathon

Finished my 12th half Marathon today in 2 hours 58 min 55 seconds. This was truly done with no practice at all, Just mind over matter, pure Adrenaline at work. Since my last Half Marathon a year ago, I just ran 4 times (3,6,8 and 9 miles all in the past month). Had to take medical attention 4 times ( treated magically with bio freeze and roller therapy) for excruciating cramps in thighs between 10-13 miles. It was more leisurely run, appreciated cheering crowds, listened to Beatles music intermittently and took lots of pictures, talked to few inspiring people especially a blind man running half marathon with help of two guides. Also fascinated and inspired to see a young Veteran running with an Artificial leg. Also helped a runner who had a bad fall get medical attention by alerting police. Even though had only 5 hours sleep last night (checked into Hilton Americas at 11:30 PM ) As day was very busy with family, managed to finish the run in a safe manner with God’s Blessings. Began the run with a Banana and 8 dates, Consumed 1.5 liters of Coconut Water (Vita Coca) and 1 liter of Lemonade with Chat Masala that my wife Seema made, that I carried in my Nathan Hydration Kit as unable to drink Gatorade normally served due to color to which I have serious allergy and Had 7 Gu Rocket Fuel packets. Also drank water being served during the race. My weight before and after the run was with in 0.1 pounds confirming my hydration was excellent. All in all , feeling proud to have finished my run feeling strong and raising $3500 for Katy ISD Foundation. Thank you ALL SO MUCH for your contributions. I truly appreciate them. Your monies are going for the noble cause of Education for Katy ISD students. For those of you who would still like to contribute today as the fundraiser website will be shut down tomorrow morning, please let me know and I can resend the link. Happy Running 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️😊😊😊😊 #drsuneja
