Dr. Randeep Suneja--2006 Honoree of the Year!!!

The American Heart Association, Katy Chapter honored Dr. Randeep Suneja as the 2006 Honoree of the Year.  The Big Gala was held on Saturday, April 1, 2006, at the Safari Ranch Club of Texas in Richmond, Texas.

As you all know, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in both men and women in the United States.  The American Heart Association is committed to reducing the incidence of heart disease and stroke by 25% by 2010.  Last year, the American Heart Association launched " Go Red for Women", a nationwide campaign designed to raise awareness of heart disease in women by introducing the Red Dress Pin.  At this year's gala, numerous citizens supported the American Heart Association and raised awareness of heart disease in women by wearing this pin.  Thanks to all of them!

This event humbled Dr. Suneja even more and made this day a memorable one in his life.  Dr. Suneja's wife, Seema Suneja, arranged for a big surprise for him.  She brought Dr. Suneja's brother, Dr. Pradeep Suneja, from India to share this day with him.  To complete the joy, Seema's parents flew in from California and graced the occasion with some very close family and friends.  Dr. Suneja also was surprised to see his childhood friend, who also flew in from California with his wife and joined in the festivities.  Thanks to our staff, who kept these secret surprises for about three months.  Kudos to all of them!!!
